Floyd Hamlett Obituary
Floyd Wayne Hamlett, 80, of Chase City, Virginia passed away December 25, 2025 at his home. He was born November 19, 1945 in Charlotte County, Virginia and is the son of the late Hugh Hamlett and the late Alma Hamlett Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Violet Hamlett and two brothers, David Hamlett and Harold Hamlett.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Brenda Hash Hamlett; daughters, Amy Lynn Hamlett and Stephanie Hamlett Sears (Michael); grandsons, Ricky Powell, Jr. and Brandon Powell; sisters, Margaret Miller and Mary Lou Toombs; brothers, Tyree Hamlett and Paul Hamlett; numerous nieces and nephews; many special friends; and his beloved dog, Pepper.
He was a foreman for Virginia Homes. He was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and had a sincere devotion to serving God and spreading the gospel. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, collecting antiques, and watching old westerns. Floyd was genuine, kind, and deeply loved his family.
A private service to honor his life will be held.
