Floyd Rivera, Jr., of Freeport, NY, on January 14th, 2026, at age 66 died of heart failure. He was the beloved husband of Diana Maza. Father of William A. Vega, Jr., Floyd A. Rivera, III and Elizabeth J. Rivera. Father-in-Law to Monica Vega, Stephanie Rivera and Giselle Ortiz. Grandfather to Destinee Colon, Emily Rivera, Natalie Rivera, Heaven Vega and Liam Vega. Great Grandfather to Orlando Dorce, Jr. and Amariee Dorce. Brother to Margie Galarza Rivera and Charles Rivera. Brother-in-law to Cecilia Rivera, Maria Bonnie Maisonet, Elena Sequera, and Saturnina Maisonet. Uncle to Maria Samantha Maisonet, Bonnie Jessica Velez, Amanda Rivera, Richard Rivera, Erica Nicolosi, Jennifer Maisonet, Luis Maisonet, Brandan Gonzalez, Jonathan Gonzalez, Belinda Gonzalez, Antonio Galarza, and Isabel Galarza.

Known as "Batman" to his family and "Pito" to his friends, Floyd grew up in the Lower East Side of New York City and accumulated many friends both in NYC and Long Island. Floyd loved to play darts, and he helped his wife on a couple of occasions with rosary making. He also was a loyal employee of AB Global (Alliance Bernstein) New York City, NY.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 18, 2026. The visitation is from 4 PM to 8PM at Christopher T. Jordan Funeral Home, Inc., 302 Long Beach Road, Island Park, NY 11558. On Monday, January 19th, the Funeral Mass is at Sacred Heart RC Church, 9:15 AM, 282 Long Beach Road, Island Park, NY 11558. Floyd's remains will be interred at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
