Floyd Chester Sheets Jr.

Floyd Chester Sheets, Jr., known as "Pap", 76, of Mifflin, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on November 13, 1946 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, he is the son of the late Eleonor Mary Blueford and Floyd Chester Sheets, Sr.
He is survived by his children, Tina L. Berrier and her husband George of Mifflintown, Debra S. Best and her husband Scott of Port Royal, Cindy L. Leonard and her companion Mike Beatty of Mifflintown, James Sheets and his companion Allison Schlegel of Mexico, Ashley Kissoon and her husband Joe of Greencastle, and Stephany Laird of Kissimimee, FL; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Kyle Knepp in 2006; and one sister, Sandra Snyder in 2016.
Mr. Sheets proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Floyd was a talented musician, singer, and loved to perform alongside his longtime friends and uncles.
He was a skilled painter and owned auto body shops and took pride in his work.
His hobbies included racing, sketching portraits, drawing, oil painting, tinkering with gadgets and building and rebuilding things.
Most of all, he loved being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered as selfless and devoting his heart to helping others.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at A New Beginning Church, 2118 Spruce Hill Road, Port Royal with the Rev. Frank J. Swartz officiating. Interment will be private and held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Nook.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Sheets' memory can be made to the American Legion Post 298, 29 S. Main St., Mifflintown, PA 17059.
