Gale A. Treaster, 77, of Mifflintown, passed away on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

Born on December 30, 1948 in Lewistown, Mifflin County, she is a daughter of the late Fredrick P. Mitchell and Jessica W. (Warner) Mitchell.

On April 12, 1969 she married her surviving husband, David F. Treaster, with whom she was blessed to share over 56 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Matthew D. Treaster and wife, Vonda, Brian P. Treaster and wife, Sandy, Aaron M. Treaster, Timothy J. Treaster. She was also survived by siblings, brother Lynn P. Mitchell and sister, Kim Sowers, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lori K. Wagner.

Gale was a 1966 graduate of Chief Logan High School. She, along with her husband, was owner and operator of Treaster's Flowers in Mifflintown. She also worked for the St. Jude's Thaddeus Catholic Church in Mifflintown in the office.

Mrs. Treaster was a member of St. Judes Thaddeus Catholic Church in Mifflintown, where she served on the Women's Guild. She enjoyed reading and always had a book in her hand.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 30th ,2026 at the St. Judes Thaddeus Catholic Church, 3918 William Penn Highway, Mifflintown with Father Kevin Coyle and Father William Weary officiating. Interment will follow Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.

A Viewing will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral services at 11 AM on Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Treaster's memory can be made to the St. Judes Thaddeus Catholic Church, 9 North Brown Street, Lewistown, PA 17044.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., Mifflintown, PA.
