Kathryn B Treaster

Kathryn Bell Treaster (Musser), 81, of Colyer, peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Born on September 14, 1944, in Lemont, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Herold and Ella Elizabeth (Rider) Musser. On November 12, 1960, she married Clifford E. "Dink" Treaster, who preceded her in death in 2014.
Kathryn worked at Gettig Pharmaceuticals for a number of years before she began cleaning various office buildings in the area. She continued to clean until she was 78 years old when she had surgery. Even after that, she wanted to get right back into cleaning and working but her doctors said no.
Kathryn was a member of the Progress Grange #96 for many years. She worked on the family farm and enjoyed it tremendously. She loved to go camping, especially with the grandchildren. She loved her family fiercely and was very proud of her son, grandchildren, and her great grandson, who happened to be her pride and joy. She was a true caretaker of anyone she could, selfless, and determined in nature. She will forever be missed and cherished by those that knew her and loved her.
Kathryn is survived by her son, Clifton S. Treaster and his wife, Chrissy Manning-Treaster, of Colyer; five grandchildren, Terrill Treaster, Tucker Treaster, Kaiden Manning-Treaster, Vinney Williams-Treaster, and Kaylee Treaster; one great grandson, Walker Treaster; and two sisters, Patricia Weaver of State College and Helen Shope of McClure.
Along with her parents and husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by her two brothers in-law, Dick Weaver and Tim Shope.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 10am – 11am at the Barbara Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Centre Hall. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11am with Pastor Rick officiating.
