Floyd A. "Butch" Sittig

Floyd A. Sittig, age 77, of Erie, passed away, Monday, December 4, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Titusville, Pa, on February 1, 1946, a son of the late Floyd F. and Catherine E. Bedow Sittig.
Butch graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1964 and went on to work at G.T.E. as a supervisor until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf and bowling. He loved his Scotchies. Butch's grandchildren were his life, and he loved spending time with them.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Karen Centi.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Darlene Damore Sittig; his daughter, Kimberly Sittig, of Erie; his son, Brian Sittig (Cyndi), of Cranberry Township; his grandchildren, Kolton Sittig, Callista Sittig (Liam Palmer), and Caprice Ortiz (Christian); and his brother Craig Sittig.
Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA 16504.
