Forrest (Frosty) Halverson, 66, passed away on November 21, 2024 in Milford, DE.
Son of Ann Halverson (Berka), and Art Halverson of Kaolin, Pennsylvania. Frosty was born December 24, 1957 in Wilmington, DE. He graduated in 1975 at Kennett High School in Kennett Square, PA. Although Frosty had many skills and trades, he made a name for himself as a self-employed contractor throughout the Delaware area. In 2021, Frosty purchased property with his children in Clayton, DE and continued working for one of his closest friends, Donnie Horton in Northeast, MD where he truly was like family.
Frosty is survived by his two children, Rebecca and Brandon Halverson, DE; grandchildren: Micah Nichols and Isla Halverson. Spouse of Rebecca, Zachary White, DE. Spouse of Brandon, Sara Moore, MD, Brother, Scotty Halverson, DE, Brother Rocky Halverson, DE, Sister, Charlene Halverson, DE, Wife of Rocky, Annie Halverson, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Frosty was a deeply beloved father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. His passing was sudden but quick, just like he always hoped it would be.
While we have lost our most beloved dad, many have lost a friend and loved one in him. He has been a rock to many, a master at sarcastic humor and witty timing to others. He was a man of immense wisdom and strength. Once you were marked as important to him, he'd be by your side if you needed him no matter what. There was so much more to him than just dad, though to us that was his greatest roll - he was also a grandfather (Popem), a best friend, a coworker, a mentor, a cousin, brother, a handyman, and the list goes on and on.
Frosty always took pride in everything that he did, including raising his two children on his own. The bond that Frosty had with his children and grandchildren, is something that will never be forgotten and will continue to be admired by many.
Frosty's hobbies included fishing, playing pool, tinkering around his shop, or simply cherishing time with his children and grandchildren.
To celebrate his remarkable life and the memories we cherish, a service will be held at Faries Funeral Directors Inc, 29 S. Main St, Smyrna, DE 19977 on Saturday, November 30th at 12 noon. We welcome all who knew him to join us in celebrating his memory. The visitation will begin at 12 PM and the funeral services will begin at 1 PM. Burial will be privately held.

Frosty was such a nice guy and we all were so close growing up. As teens in Hockessin we were loving life and fun.
Frosty, so glad that you and Victor are together again. Have fun and don't drive the angels too crazy.
Love you and miss you.
