It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Forrest Michael McCoy, who left us too soon on September 13, 2025. Born on December 1, 1995, in Tyler, Texas, Forrest was a kind-hearted and sweet soul, full of life and laughter. He had a unique ability to see the good in everyone and was always up for a joke, bringing smiles to those around him. Forrest was an all-around outdoorsman, passionately enjoying every moment spent hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and shooting guns. He was a God-fearing man who loved swimming and sharing a cold beer with friends. A true mama's boy at heart, Forest also adored food and was always ready for a good meal. He was a hard worker with a knack for building things, even if he had a habit of taking things apart without putting them back together.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Diane Winters and Nanny Ruth Winters who he cherished deeply.
Forrest is survived by his loving mother, Susan Reed; his biological father, Brian McCoy; his father, Morris Lee, and fiancée, Rachel White; sisters Desiree Reed and Desttiany Hamlin; brothers; Matthew Lee, Coty Lee (and husband Zaul), Jacob Mayne, Dwayne Gerdon; Kevin Sides, John Aldridge, Alden Aldridge and, step-brother Killian; along with nieces and nephews Alexis, Layland, Savannah, Paisley, Phillip, his uncle Brad McCoy and cousins Zack, Coty, and Jessica. He is also survived by his stepmom, Joanne Wester; godmother Amber Pravorne; godfather James Brooks; god brother Orin Pravorne; and many cherished family members and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Forrest's life will be held on September 21, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and share stories of the wonderful memories they hold of this remarkable man.
In honoring Forrest's spirit, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and the love that will forever remain in our hearts.
