Forrest Morace Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rush Funeral Home - Oakdale on Jun. 3, 2025.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Forrest Lynn Morace will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Hineston Tabernacle, with Reverends Sonny Connella and Jeff Scroggins officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Calcasieu, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, LA.
On Saturday, May 31, 2025, Forrest "Lynn" Morace stepped into eternal paradise at the age of 74. Lynn was born to the union of Forest Morace and Lydia Reeves. He was a wholly devoted husband, cherished father, and adored Papa.
He was a man who lived a life rooted in faith, serving many years in his church, The Pentecostals of Alexandria. Lynn was a man of many interests. He spent many hours perfecting his skills in photography, woodwork, and various artistic elements. To know "Papa" was to be embraced by his gentle, steady spirit, as well as his goofy, witty personality. He was always willing to lend a hand in anyway he could. There were countless hours spent helping his granddaughters with homework, and his children with "DIY" or media projects. He loved his family immensely and never failed to make it known. He was a true family man. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest "TaTa" and Lydia "Ruth" Morace; and one brother, Bobby Morace.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Reba Free Morace, whom he cared for selflessly and tenderly through many of life's seasons; their two children, Esther Robinson (Matthew) of Calcasieu, and Matthew Morace (Brandy) of Pineville; four grandchildren, Anna Vanslyke (Jordan), Laylah Robinson, Madeline Robinson, and Natalie Robinson; three siblings, Nelson Morace (Dianne) of Deville, Cecil Morace (Debbie) of Bunkie, and Sheilah Connella (Sonny) of Deville; and an abundance of family and friends.
A time of visitation will be held at Hineston Tabernacle, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Cecil Morace, Larry Cobb, Larry Cobb, II, Alan Connella, Jake Morace, and Jordan Vanslyke. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Free, Nelson Morace, Byron Cupples, and Mark Breaud.
