Funeral services for Mr. Brian Keith Blood will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the La Vieille E'glise Chapel at St. Peters Catholic Church, Pine Prairie, with Reverend Dennis Snoddy officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peters Catholic Cemetery, Pine Prairie, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Blood, 56, of Upper Pine Prairie, entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, LA.

He was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved spending time outdoors, camping and hunting. He also enjoyed watching chicken fights. Brian was a friend to many people and was well-loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Shelia Blood; one sister, Mitzi Blood; and one brother-in-law Michael Chapelle.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his wife of thirty-one years, Jessica Blood of Upper Pine Prairie; one brother, Charles Blood (Tina) of Upper Pine Prairie; one sister, Roxanne Chapelle (companion, Jake LaFleur) of Upper Pine Prairie; two nephews, Dusty Blood (Tiffany) and Alex Blood (companion, Emily Johnson); two nieces, Dancie Chapelle (companion, Michael Mouton) and Amelia Moras (Jimmy); five great nephews, Archer Mouton, Braylan Mouton, Sam Leger, Nicholas Cormier (Kloe), and Lucas Cormier; and six great nieces, Audrey Blood, Camille Blood, Alyssa Leger, Ava Leger, Lydia Ardoin (Mikey), and Miklyn Mouton.

A time of visitation will be held at the La Vieille E'glise Chapel at St. Peters Catholic Church, Pine Prairie, on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the Chapel on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers honored to serve are: Lee Snoddy, Chris Blood, Jason Dixon, John Crawford, Holden Luther, and Curtis Fuselier. Honorary pallbearer will be Archer Mouton.
