Foster C. Reed, a devoted husband, loving grandfather, and esteemed member of his community, passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 93. Born in 1932, in Parksville, Kentucky, Foster was a remarkable individual whose life journey saw him transition from a humble barber to a successful real estate developer, a testament to his dedication and hard work.

Foster proudly served his country as a medic in the Army, including a tour in Korea, where he distinguished himself with honor and received two bronze medals for his exemplary service. He also maintained a Lifetime Membership in the Brookside Masonic Lodge as well as the Scottish Rite. His commitment to his nation mirrored his family and to those around him. In addition, was actively involved in the Brookside Methodist Church.

For 69 years, Foster shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Velma Reed, who predeceased him. Together, they crafted a world filled with love, laughter, and memories. Foster's and Velma's passions included traveling across the country, often in his RV, embracing adventures of camping and exploring new horizons. Foster cherished the simple pleasures in life, including his favorite food, bananas, and reveling in the warm climate of Arizona, where he enjoyed his time as a snowbird.

Foster is survived by his granddaughter, Amber (Deon) Marshall, and great-grandchildren Ne'Klaus, Valtia, Ne'vix, and Davina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Foster is preceded in death by his loving wife Velma, his daughter Georgia Engle, his siblings Otis, Oakley, William, Glen, Harold, Lola, Velma, Ovie, Lorraine, and Sophia.

Foster’s family expresses profound gratitude to the compassionate staff at Clear Vista Health Campus and Paradigm Hospice for their dedicated care and support during his final days.
