Fran Christensen Obituary
Mrs. Christensen was born March 16, 1924, in Novara, Italy to the late Enrico Gentini and Francesca R. Antonic Gentini.
She was a homemaker but had also worked as the manager of the thriftshop on Dover Air Force Base. Later she became a foster grandparent and worked as an aide in an elementary school. Mrs. Christensen enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing cards, bingo, going to the beach, sewing, and taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Colonel Donald Christensen and sisters, Mattilde Riva and Louisa Sigmon.
She is survived by her partner of 25 years, Ken King; her children, Linda M. (Mark) Tolbert of Annandale, VA and Rick (Sandy) Christensen of Millsboro, DE; grandchildren, David (Magda), Brian (Katie) and Michael (Kim) Tolbert, Michelle Christensen and Jennifer (Bill) Christensen Heston; great grandchildren, Logan, Peyton, Victoria, Chase, Natalia, Nicholas, D.J. Tolbert and Brooks Heston.
Memorial services will be held 12:00pm, Sunday, April 6th, 2025, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association
