Frances Taylor “Fran” King, 78, beloved wife of the late Michael Edwin King, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Horace Lafayette Taylor and Carrie Virginia Cochran Taylor.
Fran was a graduate of Hillcrest High School. She worked in customer service with companies including Southern Bell, Greenville Memorial Hospital, and MCI. She was a longtime member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She also enjoyed spending time with crafts.
Surviving are her sons, Jason King (Erica) of Liberty, and Josh King of Minneapolis, MN; her precious granddaughters, Maddie King Potter (Dylan) and Kennedy King; her sisters, Nancy Snipes (Gregg) of Greenville, SC; Carolyn Miffleton (George) of Highlands, NC; and a brother, Bert Taylor (Mittie) of Greenville, SC.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, with a service to celebrate Fran’s life at 11:00 AM in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pickens County Shelter of Hope, 141 City View Circle, Pickens, SC 29671.
The family will be at their respective homes.
