Conchita Connie King, age 89 of Highland, IL, died Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her home in Highland, IL.
She was born on Thursday, January 23, 1936, in Madison, IL, the daughter of Ramon and Ann (nee Schmid) Garcia.
On Friday, June 17, 1955, she married Edward C. "Ed" King in Granite City, Illinois, who survives.
Connie was born and raised in Madison, IL, later moving to Granite City, IL. She met her husband, Ed, on a blind date. They were married just two weeks later. After marriage she and her husband moved to California, then moved to Staunton, IL and in 1998 settled in Highland. She was adored by her family. Connie loved taking care of her family and taught her children to be kind and compassionate to others. She was an amazing listener and would always know just the right thing to say for any given situation. Connie enjoyed crocheting and her family still appreciates the warmth of the many blankets she created. She enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes.
