Frances Baskwill Obituary
Born into world war in Bootle, England, Frances grew to develop peace, kindness & compassion for all creatures great & small; a witty sense-of-yuma; a powerful faith in God; and, always, passion for the task-at-hand.
Beloved mother to James Murphy, Joseph Hawkey (Aiyan), Jeffery Hodge (Nicole), and Bridget Frances Bogart (Michael).
Cherished grandmother to Andreas Baskwill, Seth and Joshua Bogart, and Catherine Baskwill, great-grandmother to Camellia, Ivy, and Jason, and sister to Brian Murphy of Liverpool, UK.
Predeceased by husband James Raymond Baskwill of Pen Argyl, PA
Devoted member of St John Bosco Parish for most of her life.
Receiving sponsorship as a nanny in 1961, Frances came to the United States and soon after became a caring homemaker for her husband & children in Hatboro, PA
Graduating from Abington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1982, Frances went on to serve as a dedicated nurse at Abington Hospital, Luther Park, Springfield Residence, Pediatric & Adolescent Center, and recently as a volunteer at Christ's Home Retirement Community
Some of Frances' favorite ways to spend her time were through companionship, serving others, and attempting to bond with animals both domesticated and wild - including the alligators when she wintered in Florida.
She also enjoyed exercising her brain with puzzles & meditation, her body with swimming & hiking, and pushing her luck at the casinos
Friends are invited to gather with family as we honor the beautiful life of Frances on Saturday, December 13th from 6 to 8 PM at Baskwill Funeral Home, 20 W. Montgomery Ave, (half block west of York Rd), Hatboro, PA 19040. Her
Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Monday, December 15, 2025 at St John Bosco Catholic Church 215 E County Line Rd, Warminster, PA 18974. Her burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania
