Mount Holly - Frances High Cauthen, 89, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2023.
Frances was born in Dallas, North Carolina on March 16, 1933 to the late Hubert Samuel and Lula Payseur High. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years George McQuilla Cauthen, Sr; brothers, Fred High, Charles High, Clyde High, Samuel High, and Judson High; and her sisters, Rachel Kiser, Elizabeth Baucom, Inez Harris, and Ida Mae Phillips.
Frances was a graduate of Dallas High School and member of Tuckaseege Baptist Church. She retired after many years working for Belmont Hosiery and Knit Products. She enjoyed working in her yard and growing flowers. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons, George McQuilla Cauthen, Jr. and his wife Vickie and Richard Cauthen; brother, Paul High and wife Pat; sister, Shirley Caldwell; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be private.
