Frances Charlene Cossa passed away at her home in Tualatin, Oregon on July 19, 2025 after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 14, 1935 in Jerome, Idaho to Franklin Alfred Main and Charlotte Ellen Sorensen. She grew up in Santa Maria, CA, graduating from Santa Maria High School. She worked for General Telephone for many years and retired from Bank of America.

Charlene loved to travel, her favorite places were Alaska, Yosemite and she never met a beach she didn't love!

Charlene met her husband Gary in high school and went on to marry him a bit later in life. She moved to Oregon in 2004 to be closer to her daughter.

Charlene is survived by her daughter Charlotte "Susie" Allsop, Grandson and Grand-daughter-in-law, Jake and Rachel Allsop. Stepsons Gary Cossa and Louis (Stephanie) Cossa, Sister-in-law, Edwina Main, niece Sharyn (Jim), nephews James (Maria) and Joel, great-niece Caity.

Charlene will be greatly missed by those who loved her, she had a wonderful sense of humor and love of life.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gary and brother James Main.

Funeral services were held at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR on July 24, 2025.
