Obituary of Frances Elizabeth Charleston
Frances Elizabeth Charleston, 72, of Pittstown, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Born on November 22, 1952, in Bronx, NY, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Katherine (nee Gremillot) Charleston.
A graduate of East Brunswick High School, Frances furthered her education by earning a nursing degree. She dedicated over twenty years of her life to nursing, most recently at Whitehouse Family Practice in Whitehouse, NJ. Her compassionate nature extended to her family, as she lovingly raised her three children-Kelly, Kacey, and Robert-who were her greatest treasures. Frances also cherished her seven grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
Frances volunteered at the St. Anthony Food Pantry and enjoyed spending her free time playing penny slots at the casino, decorating, and, in her younger years, participating in country line dancing and playing tennis. Her strong faith in her Catholic religion guided her throughout her life. Above all, Frances cherished the moments spent with her family.
She is predeceased by her parents, James and Katherine (nee GreMillot) Charleston.
Frances is survived by her daughters, Kelly Brewer of Easton PA and Kacey Paul of Frenchtown NJ; her son, Robert Argila of Pittstown NJ; her son-in-laws, Vinnie Funelas and Rick Paul; her grandchildren, Trinity, Eden, Elliot, Isaac, William, Henry, and Nate; her long time partner, Charles LaMarca of Easton PA; sisters, Jeanne M. Herbst and her husband Jake of East Brunswick, NJ, Katherine Charleston of EastBrunswick, NJ; brothers, Edward Fredric Charleston and his wife Cristina of Monroe Twp, Daniel Charleston and his wife Margie of East Brunswick NJ; sister in law Connie Charleston of East Brunswick NJ, wife of her late brother, James E. Charleston. Also surviving are many loving extended family members.
Memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home, located at 1761 Rt. 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. A memorial mass will be offered on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, located at 2 White Bridge Rd., Pittstown, NJ 08867.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances' name may be made to the American Cancer Society,
