Services are Friday, Aug. 01, 2025, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church 2120 Renaud St. Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral at 10AM. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery Beaumont, TX.

The Life of Dorris Fae Charleston

Dorris Fae Charleston was born to Johnny Clifton Charleston and Dorothy Mae Baines-Charleston on July 12, 1940, in Huntsville, TX.

She was educated in the Beaumont, TX school system and was a Graduate of Charlton Pollard High School.

Dorris was baptized by Rev. J. L. Lewis at an early age and was a lifelong, devoted member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, where in her younger years, she was a member of the Junior Choir, played the piano, and served as a hostess in the fellowship hall during church events.

Dorris Fae began her tenure with the United States Postal Service in 1979, and worked until 2009, and retired after thirty years. She also worked at Southwestern Bell, Baptist Hospital, and Hamilton's Nursing Home.

She enjoyed the sights and fragrances of all sorts of flowers, watching TV game shows, and spending time with her siblings, nieces and nephews. Dorris especially loved and cherished her time spent with her twin Sister, Delores, with whom she resided from birth, until her earthly departure, on July 22, 2025.

Dorris Fae Charleston was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Johnny C. and Dorothy M. Charleston, Brothers, Royce Lynn Charleston, Lincoln W. Charleston, Bob E. Shaw, Sr., John 'Sonny' Charleston, and Ronnie Charleston, Sr. and one Sister, Louella Castille.

Left to hold dear her precious memory, are her twin Sister, Delores Mae Charleston, Sister, Joyce Charleston-Nobles, Brother, Donnie Charleston (Rose), and Sister, Hattie Ola Charleston-Abbott (Glenn). And a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, relatives and friends.
