Fran Dunnell, age 90 of St. Anthony, formerly of Ham Lake and Fridley, passed away on November 4th, 2024 in Minneapolis, MN.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 15th at Anoka United Methodist Church with Pastor Karen Evenson of Anoka UMC, officiating. After the service, a luncheon will follow at a local restaurant.
Fran was born in Chicago, IL to Frank and Marie Krejca on August 31, 1934. She graduated from Hill City High School and attended Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, MN. She married Harold Dunnell on August 31, 1956 in Hill City, MN. She worked as an Executive Secretary for various companies over the years and retired from Target Corporation in 1989.
Fran is preceded in death by her spouse of 63 years, Harold Dunnell; son, Dean Dunnell and parents, Frank and Marie Krejca.
Fran is survived by daughter, Denise Dunnell Wells; son-in-law, Bruce Wells; Grandson, Alexander Wells; Brother & Sister-in-law, Frank and Joanne Krejca as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Fran loved to travel and with her husband; they visited many places over the years; including trips to Europe, Australia, and several Caribbean cruises. For many years, my parents went to Hawaii with a group of "Target Friends" every March and had a fabulous time.
Memorials may be given to Anoka UMC, Lyric Theater of Anoka, or donor's choice.
