Frances Farris Obituary
Frances L. Farris, 95, of Princeton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 9, 2024, in her home of Princeton, IN. She was born on September 2, 1929 in Evansville, IN. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend; she was loved by all. Her family was her world. She was an avid IU Basketball and Cardinals Baseball fan. She was a dedicated minister's wife and longtime member of the Methodist Church. She graduated from University of Louisville, Deaconess School of Nursing in 1949, and was a caring nurse to many over the years.
She is survived by her 3 children, Carla Farris of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Mark (Jill) Farris of Princeton, and Michael Farris of Princeton, who was her loving caregiver in her home for the past 20+ years; grandchildren, Stephan (Meg) Farris, Megan (Eric) McClellan of Princeton and Hannah Farris of Denver, Colorado; great grandchildren, Beckham, Brooks, and Burkleigh McClellan of Princeton; Niece, Rosanna (Cecil) Gilmore, of French Lick.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Rev. Carl E. Farris in 2015, her parents, Arthur and Lula Harris; sister, Elsie Winiger Belcher and 2 sons, Stevan Farris in 1975 and Gregory Farris in 2009.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 10am CST at Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Jenny White and Chaplain Michael Bean. Burial will follow at the Otwell Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 3 until 7pm at Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton, and from 9am until the time of the service at the church on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice Care, 6724 E. Morgan Ave., Suite A, Evansville, IN 47715, as a thank you for their care of our loved one. Envelopes will also be available at the Church.
