Frances S. Fowler, age 74, of 1691 Highway 90, Vienna, died Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Born in Vienna, she was the daughter of the late Rufus "Buddy" Stubbs and Reba Speight Stubbs. She graduated from Vienna High School and Georgia Southwestern College and had worked at the Dooly County Board of Education and the Dooly County Department of Family and Children Services. For 30 years, she was a nurse working the ER at Crisp Regional Hospital and was also house supervisor. Frances was a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church and the widow of Rodney G. Fowler.

Ricky Stubbs of Eschwege, Germany
Sister-in-law: Carlene Penney (John) of Vienna
Grandchildren: Christian Fowler, Samantha Fowler, Lanie Wright and Olivia Cawthon
Funeral services will be at 3 pm Sunday, December 21 at Pinehurst Baptist Church with interment in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 pm Saturday, December 20 at the funeral home.
