Lori Benjamin, age 51, of 580 Josey Avenue, Byromville, died Sunday, March 1, 2026, at her residence.
Lori was born in Savannah, Georgia to Janet Murray Edwards and the late Larry W. Edwards. She was a corporal with the Crisp County Sheriff's Office where she was a jailer. Lori was a member of Byromville United Methodist Church and the Byromville Woman's Club. When she lived in North Carolina, she was a member of Chapter 1 of Rolling Thunder. Above all else, Lori was a loving mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed showing her love through baking and her family and friends will always remember the food she prepared for them.

Son: Tony "T. J." Benjamin, Jr. of Byromville
Mother: Janet Edwards of Byromville

Christina Edwards (Chris) of Lumberton, NC
Larry W. "Bubba" Edwards, II of Byromville
Grandchildren: Dream Dial and Sharmaine Dial
Niece: Rosa Brown of Lumberton, NC
Nephew: Dustin Johnson of Lumberton, NC
Fiancee: Richard Schenk, Jr. of Huron, OH
She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and her Crisp County Sheriff's Office family.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, March 8 in Byromville United Methodist Church. Rev. Stacey Hanson, Chaplain Sandra Simmons and Sheriff Billy Hancock will officiate.
