Horace Jerome "Jerry" Royal, age 75, of 2715 Mt. Vernon Road, Vienna, died Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Crisp Regional Nursing & Rehab in Cordele.
Jerry was born in Vienna and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He had a gift for wood working and also refinishing furniture. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Horace J. Royal and Dorothy Burch "Sue" Royal; his brother, Chris Royal and his nephew, Zachary Royal.
Survivors include:
Sister: Sara Jane Turnbull (Joe) of Ozark, AL
Brother: Ashley Royal of Vienna
Nephews: Lee Royal, Brian Turnbull and Steven Turnbull
Niece: Sara Royal
Several great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 7 in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with interment in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church. Following the committal service, the family would like to invite all friends and family to join them in the church fellowship hall for refreshments.
Memorial gifts may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
