Frances Franklin, a beacon of faith and a pillar of strength, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, in Murrieta, California, just one day before her 91st birthday. Born on December 3, 1934, in Upland, California, Frances was a woman whose life was characterized by her loving nature and her unwavering commitment to her faith.

Frances's early education took place in her hometown of Upland, where she graduated from Upland High School. She continued her education at Chaffey College, where she furthered her knowledge and prepared for a life of service and community involvement. Her academic achievements laid a strong foundation for the many roles she would take on throughout her life.

In the heart of her community, Frances was known for her active involvement in the Catholic Church. She made history as one of the first female Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist in the 1970s, a role she carried out with grace and dedication. After moving to Murrieta in 1986 with her devoted husband, Ward "Bill" Franklin, the couple became one of the founding families of St. Martha Catholic Church. Frances's service within the church was extensive, as she was an integral member of the Guadalapanos Society and the Knights of Columbus, Ladies Auxiliary. Her faith was not just a part of her life; it was her way of life.

Frances's professional contributions were equally significant. She took great pride in her work as an interpreter for Casa Colina Healthcare, where her linguistic skills and compassionate nature provided comfort and understanding to those in need. Her ability to bridge communication gaps was not just a job but a calling, and her impact on the lives of many will not be forgotten.

Beyond her public service, Frances cherished her role as a matriarch. She is survived by her four children, Michael, Edward, Margie, and Daniel, along with her 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Her family was the joy of her life, and she instilled in them her values of love, faith, and perseverance. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Ward "Bill" Franklin, as well as her three brothers and six sisters. The legacy they leave behind is one rich in love and family unity.

Frances's passions extended to the simple pleasures of life. She found solace in her garden, nurturing plants with the same tenderness she showed her family and friends. Her cooking was legendary, a way to gather her loved ones and share not just a meal but also love and laughter. Her feisty, strong-willed nature meant she approached every task with determination, and her strong faith was evident in every aspect of her life.

Remembered as a loving and faith-filled woman, Frances's impact on her community and family is immeasurable. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the countless stories and life lessons she shared. Frances Franklin lived a life of purpose and love, and while she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.
