Mrs. Frances Jane Green, affectionately known as Janie, age 77 of Sharon, Tennessee, peacefully passed away from this life on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services for Mrs. Green will be conducted on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 1PM in the chapel of Martin Church of Christ with Bro. Corey Sawyers and Bro. Danny Cash officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery #2, in Sharon, TN.
Janie was born January 13, 1948, in Lansing, MI; the daughter of the late Wayne Edward & Mary Frances Casey Palmer. She retired after many years working at the Sharon Food Locker and was a member of the Martin Church of Christ. Janie loved to quilt, but the pride and joy of her life are her grandchildren.
Mrs. Green is survived by her loving husband, William David Green; children, Billy Green, Karen Montana (Pablo); sister, Gloria Halford (George); brother, John Wayne Palmer (Helen); and three grandchildren, Jake Green (fiancé, Samantha Poiner), Alexis Montana, and Silas Montana.
Pallbearers will be Billy Green, Jake Green, Pablo Montana, John ‘Homer’ Cross, Shane Gardner, and Tommy Veasey.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mrs. Green’s honor to St. Jude’s or donors’ choice of children’s home.
Visitation will begin on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 11AM until service time at 1PM, in the chapel of Martin Church of Christ. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Frances Jane ‘Janie’ Green.
