Mrs. Mattie Marjorie ‘Margie’ Wilson, age 96 of Bartlett, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital, in Bartlett. Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be conducted on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2PM in the chapel of Kenton First Baptist Church with Brandon Norton officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
She was born April 6, 1929, in Hickman, KY; the daughter of the late Charles & Gladys Morris Jennings. Margie was a member of Kenton First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by two daughter-in laws, Priscilla Wilson, Betty Graves Wilson; sister, Patricia Jarred and husband, Jesse; two grandchildren, Candace Wilson Smothers, James Lynn Wilson II; and great-grandson, James Lynn Wilson III. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Wilson; and son, James Lynn Wilson Sr.
Serving as pallbearers are Tracey Jarred, Jim Thompson, Billy James, Mark Smothers, Timmy James, and James Wilson. Honorary pallbearer is Robert Lynn Brown.
The family will receive friends from 12PM until service time, Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Kenton First Baptist Church. Karnes & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Mattie Margirine ‘Margie’ Wilson.
