Frances Ann Houck, age 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday night, November 10, 2024 at Bay Shores Nursing Center. The daughter of the late Frank Jones and Jeanette (Hause) Jones Hadd, she was born on January 8, 1954 in Bay City. Frances was employed for many years at Romanow Building Services and then at St. Mary's Medical Center in Standish. Later in life, she proudly returned to school and graduated with her oldest daughter Sandra from John Glenn High School in 1991. Frances enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Her family was truly her life, and she loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and of course her beloved dogs.
On May 27, 1972 Frances was united in marriage to her true love, Leonard E. Houck, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 2017. She is survived by her four daughters, Sandra (Dean) Fry, Brenda (Shane) Franklin, Ema (Paul) Wesley and Jenifer Houck (Jeff Friebe); seven grandchildren, Amber, Seth, Jewelie, Brooke, Sabrina, Kyle and Kristopher; great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Julian, Ryker and Zachary; three sisters, Bonnie Dulong, Denise Jones and Sue (Troy) Balzer; many members of the Houck Family; and several nieces and nephews. Frances was also preceded in death by two sisters, and a baby brother.
It was Frances' desire for cremation to take place and that no services be held. A private interment will be held at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Mason Twp. Funeral home arrangements are being provided by the Trahan Funeral Chapel. For on-line sentiments, please go to: www.trahanfc.com
