Frances B. Huhn, age 102 of Alhambra, IL, died Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Carlyle Health Care Center in Carlyle, IL.
She was born on Wednesday, February 22, 1922, in Shiocton, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (nee Wissinger) Weber.
On Sunday, June 13, 1943, she married Russell Joseph Huhn.
She was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church, St. Gertrude Altar Society and the VFW Post 5694-Auxiliary.
Frances was born in Shiocton, Wisconsin and grew up in that area. She and her family moved to St. Louis, in 1938. After marriage her husband was was sent over seas, during WWII; she then moved back to Wisconsin. In 1949 they moved to St. Louis and later in 1969, moved to Alhambra, where they built their home. While living in St, Louis, she became the first woman manager of a Quick Shop, Manchester, MO. Later she and her husband owned and operated Circle H Bar, Highland, IL. She enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, canning and always surrounded by her family. The VFW Fish Fry slaw recipe came from Frances. She had many hobbies, always baking a cake for family or for her grandchildren's birthdays, painting and always on the go.

Arrangements are being handled by Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork, IL., with Father Paul J. Bonk, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be at Saint Gertrude Catholic Cemetery in Grantfork, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family (for a Memorial Bench, to be placed in Alhambra) or Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America.
