Frances B. Jacques

Services for Frances Jacques, 94, of Moffat are to be held at Anchor of Hope Fellowship Church in Belton, Tx at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023.  Graveside will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery.   Frances Jacques died on Monday, June 26, 2023 at a local nursing home.  Frances was born on March 28, 1929 to Ralph Roberts and Ellen Louise Orand of Temple Texas.  She was a graduate of Temple High School and she married early in life to Charles E Jacques Sr. She then became a proud mother on March 29, 1947 to her son Charles Jacques Jr. and again in August 24, 1954 to her son Mark Jacques. She began working for Ray's Jewelry early on in her career.  Proud parent, PTO officer and owned and operated a local drive-in and grocery store called Jacques Drive In Grocery in Troy Texas up until the business was sold in 1975.  She soon went back to work in the jewelry business at Pagel's Jewelers in Temple Texas. She continued to work in the jewelry business at John’s Jewelry & Repair until her retirement.  Her hobbies included cooking, spending time with her family, and prepping for holiday meals. She was a wonderful cook and had a love for Mexican food and seafood of any kind.  Most importantly she had an abundant love for Christ.   She is survived by her two sons, Charles Jacques Jr., Mark Jacques; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.   She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E Jacques Sr.; one brother, Ralph R Roberts; one sister, Mary Fenoglio.   In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider donating to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.   Visitation will be held on 12:00p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Anchor of Hope Fellowship Church.   Arrangements are under the direction of Sabrina N. Young at Young's Daughters Funeral Home.
