Frances Maria Jaramillo born November 26, 1931 passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years, Horacio Jaramillo; her eldest son, Michael Jaramillo Sr.; her parents, Margarita and Narciso Alire of El Rito, NM; and her brothers, Aniceto and Jose Alire of El Rito, NM.
She is survived by her children: Yolanda Smith and husband David Sr.; Larry Jaramillo and partner Dana Jordan; Diana Cordova and partner Moe Brown; and Joseph Jaramillo and wife Lucila; along with 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Frances was a devout Catholic and long-time member of the Shrine of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church. Her faith guided her daily life and sustained her through every season. She prayed the rosary daily for her family and always spoke lovingly of her husband, affectionately calling him "her honey" and sharing stories of their life together.
A Rosary will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Shrine of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church. Funeral Mass and burial services will be Thursday, January 8, 2025, 10:00 a.m. Reception to followat the Shrine of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest in Santa Fe National Cemetery .
