Clearville, PA-Frances Leona Ketterman, 92, of Clearville, PA, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Sterling Care-Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born October 17, 1932 in Bedford County, PA, Mrs. Ketterman was the daughter of the late Cleveland Bridges and Maude (Donahoe) Bridges. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years: Earl Ketterman; a son: Earlie Ketterman; a daughter: Tammy Cecil; two grandsons: Michael and Justin Ketterman; a granddaughter: Nicole Appel Bittner; and a son-in-law: Tony Appel. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A homemaker, Frances was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. She loved camping and gardening.
Frances is survived by her son: Michael Ketterman and wife Teena; her daughters: Karen Headley and husband Russell; Julie Fogle and husband George; and Sandy Appel; a son-in-law: Steve Cecil; her grandchildren: Kristie, Brian, Shawn, Holly, Nick, and Cody; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at Seven Dolors Catholic Church on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Richard Tomkosky as celebrant.
Interment will be in Seven Dolors Catholic Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Sterling Care for all the care and compassion given. They would also like to thank her neighbors Patty Donahoe and her son, Eric for always looking out for mom and helping her in any way possible, your kindness was appreciated by all.
