Frances Ida Lenore

Frances Ida Lenore, 91, of Hemet, CA, passed away on July 16, 2025. She was born on January 20, 1934, in San Pedro, CA, to Jim Bono and Frances Ferrara. Frances attended Chaffey College and graduated from USC with a BA in Education. She taught over 40 years from Kindergarten to 12th grade, which included regular and special education. Frances had the honor to be among the first group of educators to teach special education in California. She enjoyed her animals (especially birds), reading, and art. Frances would be described as a wife to Anthony for 65 years, mother to Michael, Catherine, and Paul, grandmother to Christopher, Hannah, and Yanet, sister-in-law to Mary, and aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was also a great listener, friend, woman of faith, and an advocate politically and to those with special needs. A rosary and mass will be held at St. Anthony's Church in San Jacinto, at 1:00 pm. on August 22, 2025. A reception will follow the mass at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hemet. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to organizations that support hunger or the environment.
