Frances R. McKnight (nee Galante), 93, of Woodbury, New Jersey, formerly of Wenonah, New Jersey, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. She was the daughter of Mary Galante (nee Karlson), and Michael Galante. Fran was a devoted mother,
grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend.
Fran is survived by her daughters, Karen Mullen (Joseph) of Mullica Hill, NJ; Kathleen Muratore of Palo Verde, AZ, and her loving granddaughter, Sarah Mullen. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. McKnight.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a 1949 graduate of West Catholic High School. Fran was a homemaker and later worked for First Fidelity Bank until her retirement in 1993. She was an active member of St. Margaret's Church for many years. She loved to travel, enjoyed reading, attending Deptford Senior Club meetings, and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.
A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, December 28th, 8:30-10:30 AM, at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ 08051. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at Church of the Incarnation, 240 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. Burial will follow at
New Saint Mary's Cemetery in Bellmawr, NJ.
