Obituary

Frances Jane Miller, 88, passed away on August 7th, 2025, during hospitalization for a heart attack. She was born on April 22nd, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Her family moved around the country while her father was in the navy during World War II. She graduated from North High School in Omaha, Nebraska.

Throughout her life, Frances expressed her creativity through artistic abilities such as sewing, quilting, quilt pattern designing, knitting, knit-weaving and gardening amongst other mediums. Her eye and appreciation for antiques, nature, Mexican and Native American culture and art also inspired her vast and prolific creativity. She touched many people's lives with her beautiful light, kindness and creativity. She is beloved by her family, friends and community.

She and her husband were involved with organizing and leading social events within their retirement community in Tucson for many years. She also cared for her mother for nearly two decades.

Frances is survived by her devoted husband, Dean Hines, daughter Cherryl Ann Quick, son-in-law, Greg Blair, grandson, Nathaniel Sturzl amongst cousins, nieces and nephews and her husband's children, grandchildren and many family members. She is preceded in death by her son, Bruce Scott Miller and her daughter, Virginia Kay Sturzl,

Frances has chosen not to have a funeral.
