Frances Morrison Obituary
A native of Shelbyville, TN, Frances was born on May 23, 1943, to the late Eddie Morrison and Maude Simmons Morrison. She found joy in the simple, steady rhythms of life-caring for her beloved cats, coloring, listening to music, cooking, and tending to her garden. In her earlier years, she worked alongside her mother mending tack equipment for the walking horse industry. Frances was also a devoted member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her cousins: Billy Richardson, Louanna (Dr. King) Bond, Ricky Richardson, Kim (Dale) Smith, Allison (Cliff) Smith, Ryan (Cindy) Richardson, and Peggy Wells.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home, with Brother Jimmy Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
