Frances Pietrafesa, 85, of Pennsauken, NJ passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia.
She was born in Camden, NJ to the late, Charles and Mildred (Bucciarelli) Doganiro. A past resident of Pennsauken, Frances has spent her last few years between Mt. Laurel and Ocean City.
Frances and her late husband, Michael were married on September 22, 1957 and had 53 years together before he passed away in 2010. They were past parishioners at St. Stephen Church, Pennsuaken and later at St. Peter Church, Merchantville. She was a member of the PTA in St. Stephens and was part of the planning for the yearly church carnival.
Frances could snuggle up with a good book, enjoying one of her favorite novels/authors, or getting challenged by a puzzle book. Her true passion was her Philadelphia Phillies.
Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She took great pride in her grandchildren, whether it was attending a sporting event or just being there with them, that was all it took to make her happy.
Besides her husband, Michael, she is predeceased by her sisters, Julia and Carmelita "Lita" Doganiro.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her children, Anthony Pietrafesa and his wife, Staci and Francine Pietrafesa, her sister, Joanne Capaldi and her husband, John, her grandchildren, Michael Pietrafesa and his wife, Alexandria and Brielle Pietrafesa and her Fiance Olivia Askin and her great-grandchildren, Anthony and Dominic. She also loved her chats on the phone with her nieces, Donna and Gina.
Friends and relatives are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Stephen Church, 6306 Browning Rd, Pennsauken Township, NJ 08109. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. Cremation will be private.
