DONNA KAY SWORASKI (nee Patterson)

Died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on September 2.

Born August 5, 1954 in Nuremburg Germany where her father was stationed while in the army, Donna is survived by her husband Jack, son Christopher (Jenn) Norton, and daughter Sarah in addition to a sister Kim Pancrazio, brother Mike (Angel) Patterson, a niece Christina Hamilton (Pancrazio), nephews Dan, Tom, and Matt Pancrazio, Mark and Ben Sworaski, and Sean and Ryan Patterson and many grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Patricia Cosgrove, her father Wilbur Gene Patterson, her brother Donald Patterson and her beloved son Stephen.

Donna was outgoing, loved to talk and was friendly to everyone she met. She loved animals, old movies, decorating for holidays, Eagles football, singing, dancing, and music, being a big fan of Bruce Springsteen. She enjoyed vacations in Wildwood with her family. She was proud of her Irish heritage and as an amateur genealogist, traced her family roots back several generations and her father's family as far back as the 14th century.

While Donna spent most of her life in Pennsauken and lived her early years in both New Jersey and Texas, she always considered Stratford to be her home. She attended St. Luke's School and Sterling High School and worked the St. Luke's carnival for many years even after leaving Stratford.

Donna worked for many years, being employed by Camden County, Maersk shipping line, and finally the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission from which she retired in 2016. While at the MVC, she was especially known for assisting senior motorists. She was cited for her work and received many compliments from customers.

Family and friends are invited to Donna's Visitation 4 PM - 6PM Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Inglesby & Sons FH 2426 Cove road, Pennsauken , NJ.
