Born on October 7th, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN. The daughter to August W and Frances (Née Fox) Patrick. Libby was raised and educated, attending Marian University in Indianapolis, IN. She married William G. Niehus in 1958 (deceased in 1993) and had four children. Libby worked for Inland Container Corp in the accounting and IT departments. She was a member of DAR. Libby thoroughly enjoyed playing Bridge her whole adult life and participated in several Bridge Clubs. Libby had a very special place in her heart for her many dogs, especially those in need of rescue. Libby was a hardworking, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Her survivors are: Mrs. Sara (Richard) Mosburg of San Diego, CA, Mrs. Margaret or Maggie (Stephen) Jackson of Peoria Heights, William P. (Valerie) Niehus of Portland, OR, and James M. Niehus of Highland, IN; seven Grandchildren: Mrs. Kristen (Michael) Ferry, Stephen P. (Abigail) Jackson, Joseph W. Jackson, Christopher M. (Madisen) Jackson, Cory R. Mosburg, Nathaniel C. Niehus, and Miss Celia F. Niehus, six Great Grandchildren: Nicholas J. Jackson, Nathaniel S. Ferry, Matthew R. Ferry, William M. Ferry, William J. Jackson, Hazel M. Jackson, and Charlotte J. Jackson, whom is due any day now.
Libby was proceeded in death by her parents and two brothers: James D. Patrick and Dr. Charles W. Patrick.
Visitation will take place at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights on Tuesday February 14th, 2023 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday February 15th, 2023 at 10:30 am with an additional visitation one hour prior to the Mass.
The Reverend Father Achilleus Tegamaisho will officiate.
Preferred memorials in Libby's memory may be made to ASPCA or OSF Healthcare Foundation for the Cancer Institute.

Funeral arrangements have been made under the direction and care of Wright & Salmon Mortuary.
