Frances Shawluk Obituary
Frances was a coal miner's daughter. She was born on October 12, 1926 in Pennsylvania to the late Nicholas Zivko and Agnes Zivko. After graduating from Redstone High School she moved to Stamford, CT. She became employed by Pitney Bowes where she met her future husband, John. Frances enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, making puzzles, and playing cards. She was always willing and happy to help her family with anything they needed.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Morris (Rex), and their children, Roberta Morris (Tim Hines), Mary Deriggi (Anthony), Rex Morris Jr. (Maggie) and Dawn Armentano (Rob), Karen McCaffrey (Terry), and their children, Terri Fiedler (Justin), Kelly McCaffrey, Bill McCaffrey (Jill), Megan Carroll (Brad), and John McCaffrey(Catherine), and Gale Capomolla (Fortunato) and their children, Fortunato Capomolla Jr. (Maria), Marianna DeLamar (Anthony), Frances Sikorski (Dave), and Rachel Gross (Richard). She was also blessed with 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years John Shawluk, her brother, Anthony Bezok, and her sister-in-law, Mary Bawleck.
A special thank you to her devoted granddaughter, Marianna DeLamar who lovingly cared for her. Also, thanks to caregivers Olha, Consuelo, Maria, and Merlyn.
Visitation will be held at Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902, on Friday, January 2nd from 4pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 3rd at 10am at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 325 Washington Boulevard, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford, CT.
