Frances Josephine "Fran" Spence

March 8, 1949 – October 21, 2025

With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Frances Josephine Spence, affectionately known as Fran, who left this world peacefully on October 21, 2025, in Naples, Florida, surrounded by her family.

Born on March 8, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, Fran was the cherished daughter of America and Anunciata Gioscia, who preceded her in death. Her life was a reflection of faith, compassion, and an enduring passion for education and family.

Fran earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Education, dedicating her life to nurturing young minds as a beloved first-grade teacher. Her warmth, patience, and devotion to her students left an indelible mark on countless lives and her community.

On February 4, 1972, Fran married the love of her life, Robert Spence. Together they built a beautiful family filled with love, laughter, and faith. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert; her loving daughter Sara (Jon) Spisak; her son Matthew (Wendi) Spence; and her adored granddaughters Gabriella and Milania Spisak, who brought endless joy to her life.

Fran's interests reflected her curiosity and zest for life-she was an avid reader, traveler, animal lover, and talented cook who found joy in bringing family together around the table. Her Christian faith guided her every step, and her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched everyone she met.

Fran's legacy is one of love, learning, and light. Though she will be deeply missed, her compassion and grace will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
