Pamela Gayle Voss, 76, of
Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025. Born on November 7, 1948, in Pittston, Michigan, to Earl and Audrey Blumberg, Pamela lived a life filled with love, learning, and beauty.
A proud graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Pamela earned her bachelor's degree in English and went on to share her passion for literature and language with generations of students. She retired from Barron Collier High School, where she was a beloved English teacher who especially cherished teaching Advanced Placement students. Her enthusiasm for words, ideas, and personal growth left a lasting impression on everyone she taught.
A resident of Naples since 1985, Pamela was deeply involved in her community. She was an active member and past president of both the English Speaking Union and the Philanthropic Educational Organization, where she inspired others with her leadership, intelligence, and generosity. Pamela also found great joy in her love of orchids, she was a devoted member of the Naples Orchid Society and the Gulf Coast Orchid Alliance, where her beautiful blooms earned her numerous ribbons and awards over the years. Her garden was her sanctuary, a place where her creativity and nurturing spirit thrived.
Pamela's life was enriched by the love of her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Voss; her beloved son, Chris (Kristy) Grabczynski; and her four cherished grandchildren-Joseph, Matthew, Andrew and Shawn-who brought endless joy to her life. She is also survived by her niece, Katie (Ian) Ross, and their children Maci, Kennedy, and Easton, as well as her bonus sons Todd (Heidi) and Scott (Tina) Voss, and her bonus grandson, Alex. Pam was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Audrey Blumberg; her dear sister, Tracey; and her brother-in-law, John Trombley.
Those who knew Pamela will remember her warmth, grace, and curiosity. Whether she was nurturing a student, tending her orchids, or sharing laughter with friends and family, she brought light and care to every moment.
A celebration of Pamela's life will be held at a later date in Naples, where her memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who loved her.
