Frances Pauline Tinelli, born on October 21, 1937, in St. Paris, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. She was surrounded by her loving family and peacefully left this world after an extended illness. Frances was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her parents Calvin Leroy Penley and Zella Thorton Penley, one daughter, Julie Tinelli, one brother, James Penley and three sisters, Bessie Jenkins, Phyllis Helmandollar and Joyce Work.
Frances was a woman whose heart belonged to her family. She found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones and cherished every moment she had with them. Her presence brought comfort and happiness to those around her, and she will forever be remembered as a beacon of unconditional love.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Frances's proudest accomplishments revolved around her role as the nurturer and caregiver of her family. Throughout her life, she worked several jobs but ultimately chose to be a dedicated homemaker. Her unwavering commitment to creating a loving and supportive home for her husband and children is a testament to the incredible woman she was.
Beyond her role as a caregiver, Frances held a multitude of interests and hobbies that enriched her life. She found solace in diving into the pages of books, stitching beautiful pieces through sewing, expressing her creativity through painting, solving intricate crossword puzzles, engaging in various crafts, cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, and baking treats that always brought smiles to everyone's faces.
Frances's warm personality and compassionate nature endeared her to everyone she met. Her genuine interest in others allowed deep connections to form effortlessly. She had an infectious laughter that could lighten up any room and possessed the remarkable ability to make people feel seen and valued. Frances embodied the true essence of kindness—a quality that will forever linger as a precious memory in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral services for Frances will take place at the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home located at 405 S Main Cross St, Flemingsburg, KY 41041. The visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM with Brother Curtis Lovall officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Clover Hill Cemetery on Clover Hill Road.
Frances Pauline Tinelli may have departed from this world, but her memory and the impact she had on those around her will forever remain. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Arland Tinelli, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Her daughter Teresa Brown holds cherished memories of a mother's love that will forever guide her path in life.
Frances also leaves behind her brothers, Jerry Penley and Dale Penley, sisters Karen Briggs and Linda Pompillio. She had the honor of being a grandmother to Sara Ison, Tim Atchison and Robert Atchison, and a great-grandmother to Briann Atchison, Martin Ison, Alyssa Atchison, Andrew Ison, Abigail Ison, Shaylynn Haney, Austin Barker, Natalie Haney, Emma Ison, Bentley Turner, Rylee Ison. The legacy of Frances's love extends even further as she became a great-great-grandmother to Benjamin Ison. Additionally, she is survived by several nieces and nephews who treasured their bond with her.
Frances Pauline Tinelli had an irreplaceable presence that brought light into the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will forever remain in their hearts as they continue to draw inspiration from the kindness and love she exemplified throughout her life. Although she may no longer be physically present among us, her spirit lives on through the cherished memories we hold dear.
Pall bearers will be Tim Atchison, Robert Atchison, Michael Ison, Martin Ison, Andrew Ison and Austin Barker.
