Frances Louise Van Tuil, age 95, of Neshannock Township, passed peacefully the morning of September 25, 2024, of natural causes at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.
Born June 4, 1929, in Stoneboro, PA, she was the daughter of John Van Tuil and Helen (Richter) Van Tuil.
She was a graduate of Stoneboro High School. Frances was employed with Polk State School in Polk, PA as part of the office staff. She later worked as a case worker for the Department of Public Welfare until her retirement.
She was a member of Eastern Star and Northminster Presbyterian Church.
Frances was a beautiful woman who took pride in her appearance and had a very strong work ethic. She loved to have fun spending time with her many friends.
She is survived by one son, John Cross of New Castle; one brother, Robert J. Van Tuil of Meadville, PA; four grandchildren, David C. Cross, Charles D. Cross, Amy K. Cross and Katherine F. Cross; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Cross, and two brothers, Col. John P. Van Tuil and Norbert C. Van Tuil.
In keeping with her wishes, a Memorial Service will be held at a future date. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Stoneboro.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
