Frances May Webb, 100, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Frances lived a long and full life defined by love, strength, and an unmistakable sense of humor.
Frances was a strong, independent woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved to read, play bingo, and even mastered Wii Bowling in her later years. She was a talented quilter who created countless baby quilts and blankets, each stitched with love. Frances also had a sweet spot for frozen strawberry yogurt - a simple treat that always brought a smile to her face.
She was known for her quick wit and playful spirit. When asked how she was doing, her trademark response was, "fat and sassy," a phrase that perfectly captured her humor and zest for life.
Frances was married to the love of her life, William O. Webb, for 61 wonderful years. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and lasting memories. She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Allen (Tony) and Diane McGowan (Jim); her grandchildren, Blake Allen (Jennifer), Lindsay Simms (Jeffrey), Megan Nall (Brent), Molly Randall (Zack), and Mallory McGowan; and her five beloved great-grandchildren - Logan and Chelsea Allen, Asher Simms, and Lucas and Amelia Nall - all of whom were her greatest joy.
Forever in our hearts.
