Frances L. Zabolski, 77, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 16, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was born March 25, 1948 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Alex and Helen Mcgown Zabolski.

Frances worked at Mercury Marine and Pick N Save in the deli on the weekends, retiring in 2024. In her free time she enjoyed shopping and spending time with friends and family. Whether she was working at her two jobs or working around the house, she was a hard worker who rarely allowed her hands to be idle. When she did slow down for the week, she enjoyed watching old movies on Saturday night and eating Domino’s Pizza with her close friend, Linda Higley.

She enjoyed cooking out as well as cooking in. A renowned baker and chef, family famous for her many delicious dishes, including her much desired scalloped potatoes and her mouth-watering apple pies. She was very meticulous about cleaning and organization. A neat freak would be considered an understatement.

She was a simple woman with a big heart. She didn’t want or desire the fancy things in life. Those things didn’t matter to her. A big relaxing day for her was planting flowers, going to the laundry mat, shopping, and eating at Taco Bell. Frances looked forward to her yearly Christmas trip to Kentucky to share the holidays with her sons, Chris and Eric (Misty) and her grandchildren and great grandchild.

She is survived by her two sons, Christopher Zabolski of Fond du Lac and Eric (Misty) Zabolski of Somerset, KY; she leaves behind two grandchildren, Alex (Jenny Maddox) Zabolski and Alexys Zabolski; one great grandchild, Joslyn Alexys Zabolski; two sisters, Carol Hoyt and Nancy (Rick) Munson; nieces, Melanie (Tim) Haas and Amy Arveson; and nephew, Brian Arveson. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private services are being held. Cremation has taken place.

Services are in the care of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Additional information and guestbook can be found at ueckerwitt.com
