Francesco Demonte, born on February 1, 1941, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, surrounded by his immediate family at the age of 84.

Francesco was born and raised in Mola Di Bari, Italy, where he began his working life as a Merchant Marine. In 1970, he immigrated to the United States with his wife and life long friends Tonino and Raffaella settling in Brooklyn, New York. Then relocating to the Somerton section of Northeast Philadelphia, where he and his business partner opened Aldo's Pizzarama in 1979, a well-known and much-loved restaurant in the community. He later became widely known for his 26 years at Aldo's Pizzarama, where he was known not only for making great pizza, but for the relationships he built with so many customers who became friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him in the community.

Francesco is survived by his daughter, Catherine; his son, Marino (Kelly); his grandchildren, Victoria and Michael; and his devoted companion, Lisa. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vittoria, his parents as well as many cherished siblings.
