Francine Lenora Cullari

Francine Lenora Cullari, 77 years old, of Olympia, Washington, passed away on June 4, 2024. Born on New Years Day 1947 to Carmen and Mary (Mischa) Cullari, Francine called Nutley, New Jersey, her childhood home.
After high school, Francine left New Jersey to attend college at Chestnut Hill in Pennsylvania. She would go on to earn a Master's in Urban Planning from St. Louis University, a Juris Doctorate from the Detroit College of Law, and a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Michigan-Flint.
She centered her highly decorated career on public service and education; she was a social worker, an attorney, a city planner, and a professor. In her spare time, Francine was an avid reader and writer, with a passion for cuisine and travel. Acapulco, Mexico, and Kerry County, Ireland, were among her favorite places to visit. Sometimes contemplative, often witty, Francine was just as quick to crack a joke as to lend a helping hand. She was at her best teaching eager college students business law, volunteering for the local bar association, and most importantly, playing games with her granddaughter.
Francine was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lawrence Cullari, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Jose Sanchez; her sons, Alejandro Sanchez and Emiliano Sanchez; their significant others, Andrea Meewes Sanchez and Marion Fischer; her granddaughter, Talia Sanchez; her sister, Mary Cullari; her sister-in-law, Kathy Cullari; her nephews, Lawrence Cullari, Jr., and Stephen Stanton; and her niece, Gina Cullari.
Her ashes will be scattered in a small ceremony in Kerry County, Ireland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Access to Justice Campaign of Michigan, Northwest Justice Project in Washington, or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
