Francis A. Garofalo

Francis "Frank" Anthony Garofalo (Dr. G), 81, of Naples, Florida, entered his eternal rest on November 26, 2025. Born July 3, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, Frank lived a life marked by devotion-to his faith, his family, and his calling to teach, serve, and build.

Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sally Garofalo, with whom he shared a lifetime of partnership, ministry, and love. He is survived by his son Francis Garofalo Jr.; his daughter Patricia Hilligoss and her husband Thomas Hilligoss; and his cherished grandchildren Alexander Hilligoss and Zachariah Hilligoss, who brought him deep joy and pride.

A man with an extraordinary mind and an unwavering faith, Frank earned a doctorate in theology, grounding his life's work in strong Christian convictions. He was a lifelong student, always reading, researching, and seeking truth.

Frank's professional life reflected the breadth of his talents. Before entering full-time ministry, he worked as a master electrician, contributing to remarkable projects-including helping bring light to the iconic Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, a memory he loved sharing.

His ministry became his greatest mission. Frank served as a pastor and founder of multiple congregations, including Love In Christ Fellowship and the Woodworkers Church. As a theologian and educator, he established the NYC Full Gospel Theological Seminary, which continues to operate-an enduring testament to his dedication to biblical scholarship and preparing others for ministry.

Frank was known for his warm personality, gentle genuineness, and deep love for his family. He had a gift for making people feel seen and valued, and those who knew him remember his steady kindness, his passion for good Italian food, and his clear, thoughtful communication of Scripture. His teaching often emphasized the importance of readiness for Christ's second coming, a message he carried with conviction and compassion.

His legacy lives on in the ministries he established, the people he mentored, and the family he dearly loved.
