SOUTHBRIDGE: Francis John Sinni Jr. 72, of Coolidge Avenue died Friday, April 14 at home after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
He leaves his wife of 49 years Geralyn (Fitts) Sinni a daughter Leigh Sinni and her husband Uma Shankar Sappa and Grandson Ori Francis Sappa of Seattle, Washington. 2 sisters; Linda Collins and her husband Harry of Charlton, Elaine DeBlois and her husband Philip of East Dennis.
He was born in Southbridge, the son of the late Francis J. Sinni Sr. and Constance (Dion) Sinni and lived in the area all his life.
John was a beloved husband and father and enjoyed traveling, golfing and cooking. He was a call firefighter for the Town of Southbridge from 1972 to 1988, past president of the Mass. Trail Riders and played softball for the Henry Street leagues from 1977 to 2015. He was a youth softball coach and enjoyed following all sports especially the New England Patriots and the PGA Tour.
John retired from Hyde Tools in 2018 after 45 years of service. He was a devoted employee and held several positions including manufacturing supervisor, safety manager and salesman. John will be remembered for his loyalty and contributions to the success of the company.
Calling hours are NOON to 2PM, on Saturday, April 22, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
At 2PM there will be words of remembrance.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Second Chance Animal Shelter, 111 Young Rd, East Brookfield, MA 01515
